July 4: Plenary Talk was delivered by Prof. Blake Hannaford on “Model Driven Medical Robot & Procedure Design” and the Keynote Lecture by Prof. Taewon Seo on “Underwater Robotic Platform for Hovering and Operations”. The day witnessed three technical sessions and one short-presentation-cum-poster session. General Body Meeting (GBM) of The Robotics Society was held after session. The Conference Banquet was held at The Westin (Velachery) and the delegates were treated to melodious rendition of Veena (musical instrument) by artists, followed by a great banquet dinner.
International Conference on Advances in Robotics (AIR) is a series of biennial conference organized by The Robotics Society (previously known as Robotics Society of India). The conference aims to create a forum to present and exchange new ideas by researchers and developers from India and abroad working in the fields of robotics and its applications. The conference would have plenary talks, oral and poster presentations, and special industry oriented sessions.
IIT Madras is hosting AIR in 2019. The conference will be held during July 2-6, 2019.
